Over the past few years, LEGO has quietly added an impressive array of plug-powered machines to its block-based lineup, from hybrid racers to battery-powered excavators and garbage trucks. We’ve rounded them up here.
In putting this list together, I thought it best to group the kits by LEGO theme, which also serves as a rough guide to building difficulty. In other words: the further down the page you go, the bigger, badder, and more involved the builds will tend to get – and by the time you get to the app-controlled Caterpillar DX-11 electric drive dozer and Volvo EC500 Hybrid excavator kits, you’ll be looking at some seriously impressive (and seriously expensive) block-based builds.
Along the way, you might also find a number of electric cars, trucks, and equipment options that we’ve covered in these pages. I’ve included links to those posts as well, in order to provide plenty of some real-world context and give you more to explore once you’ve finished building.
Clicking on the name of the EV (example: Lotus Evija) will open up an Electrek article about the vehicle, while clicking on the number (76907) will take you to a link for the kit, itself. Enjoy!
